Purpose:

To empower lecturers with a thorough understanding of online learning isolation, providing practical strategies rooted in the Community of Inquiry framework and best practices. The goal is to enhance the online learning experience, fostering community, engagement, and empathy to combat isolation challenges in the virtual classroom.

 

Outcomes:

Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • define isolation in online learning;
  • integrate the community of inquiry framework in combating isolation;
  • recognise best practices to put in place in an online learning environment;
  • discuss the strategies to combat the feeling of isolation in online learning; and
  • discuss ways to enhance teaching with empathy in an online learning environment. 
     

Expectations | Prerequisites :

Participants will gain a clear understanding of isolation in online learning, effectively integrate the Community of Inquiry Framework, implement best practices for online learning, discuss strategies to combat isolation and explore teaching with empathy.
