Information session - NWU Teaching Awards - 2025-02-20 Online

Purpose:

This information session aims to introduce academic staff to the NWU Teaching Awards, including the Novice Teacher Award, Blended Teaching Award, Teaching with ICT Award, Innovation in Teaching and Learning Award, and Team-Teaching Award.


This session aims to provide information on each Award type in terms of the purpose of the Award, the application process, the timeline for participating, and general support in 2025.

 

Note:

By the end of this session, attendees will have gained information on:

  • the background, nature, and objectives of each Award type;
  • the conditions and criteria for eligibility and enrolment in the Award of interest;
  • the principles and standards used to assess submissions for the different Awards; and
  • key requirements, application processes, timelines, reward/prize, and the steps involved in participating.

 

This session empowers academics with the knowledge and confidence to engage in the NWU Teaching Awards, celebrating and recognising teaching excellence across the University. Potential participants are encouraged to engage with the respective Awards coordinators during the information session.

 

Limitations:

  • Participants are required to have completed their ICNL/Induction programme before participating in the NWU Teaching Awards.
