Workshop Description:

Design Thinking has been used in various industries for decades. This 4-week workshop will help participants apply these well-established methods to focus the design of synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences on those who matter most: the learners. Participants will explore Design Thinking techniques to identify and solve some of the difficulties students may encounter and create plans to improve online courses and programs.

Learning Objectives:

Create personas and experience maps to collect data about learners
Use brainstorming techniques to find a solution to a learning experience problem
Design a prototype solution to a learning experience problem
Employ user testing protocols to test a prototype
