Fostering Inclusive Classrooms through Multilingual Pedagogies 2025-10-29 Online
Purpose:
To raise awareness of the value of multilingualism in teaching and learning, and to encourage more inclusive classroom practices.
The session will explore practical strategies and real examples that promote linguistic diversity and equitable participation.
Participants will engage in interactive discussions to reflect on their own practices and consider how to implement multilingual approaches in their teaching.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:
- explain the importance of multilingualism in creating inclusive learning environments;
- identify practical strategies for integrating multilingual pedagogies into their teaching;
- reflect on their current teaching practices to recognise areas where linguistic inclusion can be strengthened; and
- discuss examples of successful multilingual approaches and apply relevant ideas to their own contexts.
