Overview of course:
This online, on-demand course will give participants the information and confidence they need to be an effective higher education instructor. Learn how to effectively design a course, create exams, manage content, increase student engagement, deal with common classroom challenges, evaluate learning, and more.
This course touches on all aspects of college teaching. It begins with framing courses and covers course design, student motivation, Bloom’s Taxonomy, and more. It explores learning in the classroom and offers insight into managing course content, engaging learners, promoting deep and active learning, and employing instructional technology.

  • Apply three key principles of human learning to course design and delivery
  • Develop course frameworks that foster intrinsic motivation
  • Articulate course learning objectives and construct assessments from those objectives
