Online: Facilitating online learning In-Person
This online course is designed for educators involved in online and mixed mode courses at higher education institutions. You will shortly have real online students / learners who are taking your courses in online and/or blended mode, and this is a good opportunity to initiate / improve your online facilitation knowledge, skills, and behaviour. The course is activity-based, so your active participation is required in order to reflect on, practice, and model online facilitation.
At the end of this online course, the participants should be able to:
- Developed knowledge, skills and attitudes concerning online facilitation, with application in online components of formal courses and online collaboration projects
- Gained an awareness of and developed skills in the tool sets available to support online facilitation (e.g. Online discussions, blogs, podcasts and synchronous communication software)
- Developed knowledge and skills in designing online activities using an appropriate combination of technologies in online components of formal courses and online collaboration projects
