Presentation: A brief introduction to OER and its origins and OER in Brazil and Latin America: recent developments In-Person

The North-West University committed itself to the development, adoption, integration, sharing and research of appropriate and high quality OER for use in the delivery of modules of formal academic programmes.

This commitment ties in with the international move towards open education that contributes to greater impact and internationalisation through the online open publication of academic content and contribute to the development of different bodies of scholarship.

To build the capacity of NWU staff to effectively engage with OER’s and the global open education initiative, the NWU Centre for Teaching and Learning (CTL) in collaboration with the UNESCO chair for OER and multi-modal learning at the NWU, invite you to attend this presentation by Prof. Tel Amiel UNESCO Chair in Distance Education, University of Brasília, Brazil.

After each presentation there will be a discussion on the way forward with OER and the practice of open pedagogy within the NWU.
