Why Open Licences are Essential for Education In-Person
Why shouldn’t you miss this:
Educators worldwide continue to face significant challenges related to providing increased access to high quality teaching and learning, while containing or reducing costs. Open education and OER represent an opportunity to review traditional teaching methods and curricula and creating a more dynamic, relevant and powerful approach to education.
Purpose:
An introduction to Open Educational Resources (OER) that provide participants with a background to OER; why they are essential; and how they can be effective in promoting excellent education practice.
Outcomes:
Enables lecturers to alter, adapt, update and make effective use of instructional sources, without restrictive licensing and locks.
Requirements/ expectations:
All lecturers involved in teaching and learning facilitation at the NWU
