Kindly note: Registrants will receive an email communicating the relevant information, as well as the Zoom link for attending the webinar.

Why shouldn't I miss this!

Constructive Alignment is a teaching principle that combines constructivism, the idea that learners construct or create meaning out of learning activities and what they learn, and alignment, a curriculum design concept that emphasises the importance of defining and achieving intended learning outcomes. Don’t miss this opportunity to enrich your pedagogical knowledge.

Purpose of the APD opportunity:

The purpose of this webinar is to revisit the goal of constructive alignment in supporting students to achieve the desired learning outcomes. Participants will develop their knowledge and skills to ensure a congruent and coherent approach between the intended learning outcomes, assessment of student learning, and teaching and learning activities.

Outcomes of the APD opportunity:

By the end of this webinar participants should be able to:

  • Thoughtfully determine intentions for what students should learn and how they will demonstrate their achievement of these intended learning outcomes, and clearly communicating these to students;

  • Design teaching and learning activities so that students are optimally engaged in achieving these learning outcomes; and

  • Create assessments that will allow students to demonstrate their attainment of the learning outcomes and allow instructors to discern how well these outcomes have been achieved.
