Why shouldn't I miss this!
Lecturers need to be aware of copyright and licensing issues when using published content and open educational resources. In this regard, the Creative Commons licensing framework will be introduced in this session.
Purpose of the CPD opportunity:
The aim of this session is to introduce copyright and open licensing for learning and teaching purposes with specific reference to Creative Commons and open pedagogy.
Outcomes of the CPD opportunity:
By the end of this session participants will be able to:
- consider copyright and open licensing aspects in the design of learning content;
- interpret and use Creative Commons licenses;
- distinguish between the different license types;
- find, evaluate and adapt resources ethically; and
- licensing and open pedagogy: adapting and creating open educational resources.
