Why shouldn't I miss this!
When open educational resources are considered for use in the classroom, they can be adapted and localised to be appropriate for their own context.
Purpose of the CPD opportunity:
This session explores some practical issues around how resources can be customised through adaptation and localisation within an open licensing context.
Outcomes of the CPD opportunity:
By the end of this session participants will be able to:
- distinguish between adaptation and localisation;
- utilise the 5Rs of open educational resources for the classroom context;
- consider language issues in adapting learning resources; and
- use appropriate Creative Common licenses for adapted or localised resources.
