An Introduction to Assessment Feedback 2021-04-14 (Webinar) In-Person

Kindly note: Registrants will receive an email communicating the relevant information, as well as the link for attending the webinar.

Why shouldn't I miss this!

The transition from campus-based contact teaching to distance-based remote learning to the limited (purposeful) contact time, resulted in faculties having to adapt their assessment approach. Don't miss out on this opportunity during which CTL will share and discuss good practice guidelines when providing assessment feedback to students during these unprecedented times.

Purpose of the CPD opportunity:

The purpose of this webinar is to provide lectures with an overview of the importance of assessment feedback within the current NWU context in order to provide students with constructive assessment feedback to support their learning.

Outcomes of the CPD opportunity:

At the end of this online Webinar, the participants should be able to:

  • Display a clear understanding of the importance of constructive feedback within the current NWU context;
  • Reflect on the characteristics of constructive feedback aimed at improving students’ learning.
  • Select feedback tools that will enable students to learn from assessments.

Expectations/ Requirements:

Expectations for the lecturer may include engagement with Assessment Feedback theory and practical best practice ideas as well as showcase/demo of feedback tools.

This webinar builds on information shared in the previous webinar, Digitising feedback as well as Peer to Peer Feedback (which is available to view from the CTL CPD eFundi site).
