The effective implementation of problem-based learning 2022-09-15 Online

Purpose of the CPD opportunity:
The implementation of problem-based learning to help foster 21st-century skills.
Outcomes of the CPD opportunity:
Upon completion of the workshop, participants will have received knowledge on how to:
- define the concept "Problem-Based Learning (PBL)";
- describe the PBL-process;
- distinguish between the different PBL-formats;
- discuss the roles of the facilitator and students in PBL-environments;
- outline the important role of assessment in PBL;
- discuss the different types of problems; and
- recognise examples of how PBL can be implemented in Geography modules.
Expectations/ Requirements:
An interest in the implementation of active teaching and learning strategies, such as PBL, in your classroom.
